As I mentioned in a past post, I recently stayed in New Jersey for a little over A week visiting and photographing a very good friend of mine and her very kind and loving family. I have been hard at work editing all the photos we took during my stay and those photos will be up on the blog shortly. However until then I have decided to take another break and share a couple more self portraits that I shot on one of my favorite days of my vacation. It was an incredibly windy day, very cold. After I shot my friend’s maternity I had the whole beach to myself and it had been so long since I spent anytime with the Atlantic, or any ocean for that matter, that I could have seriously ran around that beach for hours in the nude.
I first thought of this shoot the moment I saw the suitcase that was sitting on the shelf in my temporary bedroom. It was a suitcase painted by Tim O’Hanlon, an artist from Philadelphia. I was immediately inspired to shoot. In my head I was imagining New York in the background being a little more apparent, but I guess ya can’t win them all!
